Our aim is to promote good relations between Britain and Cyprus. We wish to support a constructive dialogue between British citizens of both Greek and Turkish Cypriot origin. We are committed to open and respectful discussions at meetings.

The newly formed All Party Parliamentary Group for Cyprus was re-established on the 12th July 2010 following the general election in May. We wish to encourage more Parliamentarians to have an active interest in Cyprus. We hope to increase the friendship and cultural understanding of Cyprus in the British Parliament, and Britain in the House of Representatives, which may influence a positive attitude to Cyprus within Parliament and Government.

The Cyprus-APPG is affiliated to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. As such it recognises the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus and works and looks forward to the reunification of the island.
